Many of us do no realize that love is the greatest currency that there is. We would have and be nothing without love. Love from our parents, love from our families, love from our friends and even strangers.
How would we have survived: eaten, had clothes or even shelter if not for love. The love of a mother is one currency that is priceless; for those that have the opportunity to experience it. Largely the population is focused on tangible money and the currency of a never ending resource of love.
In 1 Corinthians 13:13 the famous verse that says “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love”. When Paul states this he is not insinuating that the other two are not as important, but the weight of God’s love is actually immeasurable. Not only was this love used to pay for Salvation, redemption, and eternal life, but every single benefit that comes along with it.
I think about sometimes when I am in meditation, that without the currency of His love there would be no “benefits” associated with salvation, there would be no “changing of His mind”. Prophet Lovy did a great sermon on God changing His mind. It’s called Change.
Check his YouTube page to watch the entire sermon. But in short he describes how even though God is the same and never changing, that does not mean He can’t change the path to meet the same destination of the completion of His will. A great example is Moses asking Him to repent for His evil thought and then God repenting.
That repentance and change of mind was only done because of love that He had for his servant, that spilled over as a benefit to the people of Israel. That love that he has for us is not cheap. That love was manifested and paid through the physical sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
That currency is forever valid and never depreciates. So question: If love is our currency in God and He has an abundance of it, so much so that it can overflow through us and into others, then why can we become sad or depressed?
