There are not many people who would openly admit on a public forum that they have issues with abandonment, rejection, or even the newest one 'FOMO', but how else will others see that they are not alone if one does not speak about it? As I stated earlier in the year I am making a conscious effort, as you all should, to shed your past selves and walk into the new. The new 'wineskin'.
Sometimes we think that we are able, capable, or even ready for that, but we have not even taken off the old one. How is it possible to try on new clothes when you still have on the ones you walked into the store with? You can't even fully perceive what it is that you look like in the new outfit because what you were wearing before is distorting the image that you are perceiving in the mirror.
That distortion is what makes you perceive yourself incorrectly. You cannot move forward in your calling if you are walking in shoes that are not made for that journey. You are trying to wear heels the size of an iPhone 15 pro max up a hill meant for hiking boots.
So how do we overcome this image distortion, this cognitive dissonance that we are experiencing, so that we can fully receive what is new and available for us? You must first strip naked. Not literally, but almost.
emotionally and spiritually you need to purge yourself of those thoughts and negative beliefs and patterns that were rooted in you from such a young age to even your adulthood and release them. What does that release look like? That can be writing it out, crying, or praying, but it needs to be the actualization and acknowledgment of these patterns to your conscious mind to make you aware so that you can expel that which is not YOU.
And then overcome them. Once you have acknowledged what is causing that negative belief system and circular pattern of thoughts and behaviors, now you can begin to use methods such as meditation, prayer, and affirmations, among other resources we have in Mind. Over.
Body to rebuild and re-actualize your mind to your true self. At that point trying on those new clothes will be easy, treading that mountain will become smoother, and the image that you see in the mirror will become closer and closer to your destined self. Because you were made to overcome.
You overcame 9 months in the belly. You overcame sickness during a pandemic. You overcame the tissue shortage...
lol We are all overcomers, in our own way, and it's just tapping into and recognizing what needs to be removed first so that we can begin to walk in our true selves.
