There was a night that I was meditating and going over the difference between Happiness and Joy. I wanted to let my thoughts process and meditate on how we view these words when we cannot imitate or express them sometimes. While I was processing this, my brain chose a very different way to bring things to light for me.
Fun fact about me: When I write initially, everything comes out like a poem. Not matter the topic, I flow with rhymes, analogies and metaphors. As I was sitting here meditating on this, I began to write and I came to a very peculiar conclusion on this topic...
Happy - 2/5/23: They always ask: “How are you?” never “What do you need?” If you can discern that I am distraught, then what else do you see?
He says never to rely on man because his hand can't save me, but every blessing He sends seems to be through a man to me. So favor in man and in God. That’s the goal right!?
That’s what we want, is the best of both worlds, right? To be able to balance your faith and yet fight to bring forth His light. His Glory that resides in us as a candle that needs to burn bright.
To be fueled by the Spirit so that it can attract that which is night. I am happy with just that or do I want more? I try not to compare, but then my body, mind, and heart get sore.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, so then how can it be quickened when my battery depletes? Happiness or joy? Which is the longest-lasting flavor?
The blue raspberry type of Now or Later. I have a theory or maybe even a choice that needs to be made, is my current situation a test or homemade? Caused by disobedience or shame.
But there is no condemnation with this new brain. So that’s not the answer, so then it must be, the flavor that I am going after is the Joy that he speaks. The words that He has shown in my secret place of weeping.
The grace He has given and the healing from last week. This “flavor” of happy is a little more discreet. Like my Papa Lo says: “This is why I call Him, Jehovah Sneaky”.
